From oven to 9x13
It has been a while since we shared some information. With the Holidays fast approaching, the question of, "can I transfer a hot dish into the Hot Logic from the oven?" has come up a lot.
I decided to test this in plans for Thanksgiving with my green bean casserole recipe.
The Hot Logic reaches a temperature of 165 degrees so anything coming out of the oven is well over the temperatures the Hot Logic heats to. Most often, users want to know if they can take a dish from the oven directly to the Hot Logic.
During my testing, the green beans were heated to 350 degrees. I pulled them out of the oven and let them sit for 5 minutes before transferring to the 9x13 for travel.
Even after sitting for 5 minutes, the dish was still to hot to touch by hand but held up well in the carrying case. I plugged the Hot Logic in until we were ready to leave and then transferred it to the car and plugged it in with the adapter.
The green beans could have heated from cold to begin with in the Hot Logic but I wanted the crispy onions to brown.
Even though the Hot Logic has some limitations to baking and starches, overall it is one of the most handy tools in your kitchen.
