Utilizing Hot Logic to enhance your meals
Summer is coming up fast and for us in Michigan that means farm fresh vegetables, grilling and salads. So what does this mean for using the Hot Logic?
After eating heavier meals during the cold winter, having some grilled vegetables or a good salad is something I look forward to. Well, you don't really cook a salad in the Hot Logic and by no means should you be breaking up with your Hot Logic!
During the summer months, I enjoy eating a salad with a hot protein like chicken or steak. Cut up the meat into smaller portions, season it and put it in the Hot Logic with a dressing or vinegar. This is a great option and a way to still have a great salad with something warm.
Here are some of the meals that I have prepped in the Hot Logic or reheated.
- Grilled steak (reheated in Hot Logic)
- Spinach, avocado, feta, cucumber, red onion, tomato
- Greek Dressing
Ribs in the Hot Logic
If you have not read the blog post on making ribs in your Hot Logic, it is a MUST!
Serve up a side of ribs with a small side salad.
Another low carb option that I love is cabbage with some bacon, ground turkey, and onion. I crisped the bacon up in the oven when I cooked it. It lost some of it's crisp when re-warming in the Hot Logic but it maintains a ton of flavor!
I pre-cooked this is in the skillet making sure just to cook the turkey sausage and get a quick cook on the cabbage so it was still tender.
Any veggies or protein can reheat quickly in the Hot Logic. Just remember, the Hot Logic doesn't need to be a one stop shop for your whole meal. One of my favorite meals is a good Philly cheese steak or Philly Stuffed peppers!
Do you use your Hot Logic to make half of your meal? What else have you used yours for? Share in the comments!
